I have been trying to install chromium without success even after trying various download servers from software and updates...they return any errors after reloading. Attached log file and output from apt-get update which maybe some help.

I always forget the introduction part.....I can't remember where I came across Lite, but I thought I would try it on my old Compaq...I'm already using another Linux distro and have been for some time....I have a nas4free box and a headless Ubuntu server running a media server.
I still use W10 as I do IT support for a local school and some software I use is predominantly for Windows...I have tested it under wine but it can be flakey and a pia to set up, but generally I use Linux for everything. As far as Linux is concerned google is your friend, there's loads of information out there.

Hi, have installed on a laptop to try.....I always change my repository settings...easily done, but apparently not  :-[ always a first time 

Synaptic Package Manager>>>Settings>>>Repositories......nothing, cursor goes round for a few seconds then that's it. I've done the google is your friend and even RTFM...first for me  but I can't find a fix.

I got a problem with the sound of a laptop (Acer Aspire 5610). I Install the last version of Linux Lite (3.4) and I have no sound. The audio card is a Intel Corporation NM10/ICH7 Family High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02). After hours I can only listen to the audio if I type alsactl init in the console (command line).

Can anyone help me?, it's very stressing

Hi, Guys, newbie here. I failed to update for a couple of months, and when I recently did, 115 updates appeared, but they failed to install. It popped up a box with this error, "/var/log/llupdates.log". I restarted the computer, but the updates still did the same thing. I ran  Lite Tweaks, and it popped up an error, which it usually doesn't. Of course, I know to choose the safe boxes in Lite Tweaks. So, what should I do about the updates error? Is there a terminal command to straighten that out?

Lite Tweaks has been moved from gksu to pkexec. We are now testing it thoroughly and hopefully it will be available soon (as long as it passes Jerry's scrutinizing which is not an easy thing )

With this, we have completed our goal of moving the following apps to pkexec:

Create System Report
Disable Autologin
Enable Autologin
Install Updates
Network Share Settings
Lite Software
Lite Updates Notify
and of course, Lite Tweaks:



Lite Tweaks will now ask for Admin Authentication once to run tasks which require administrative privileges. Additional tasks execution will not prompt admins for their credentials over again until the application is quitted.

What do I need to do to a Windows 10 HP machine to allow me to boot up my usb stick with Linuxlite 3.4 on it to install?  Help. 

Anyone know IF and/or HOW to disable the sort action that obtains when a column header is clicked in a Zenity list?
