Playing Line In through the speakers attached to my system.

I have a tape deck attached to my line in. I want to be able to hear the deck through my attached speakers... I can't seem to get the sound settings to allow me to do it. I've installed Audacity, and can get it to semi work.. while recording.. but its garbled. However.. optimal would be to be able to hear the sound through my system speakers while playing and record when I want to record. Now this is a easy set up in windows.. and I'm sure there must be something in Linux to run from the command line. Ubuntu seems to have a loop back function to select in the switch tab of the sound settings.. but I can't see anything on Linux Lite. I prefer to keep Linux Lite as it is quite handily the best Linux Distro to date!

NEW Linux Lite Website - BETA

The new Linux Lite website is now live, in BETA form.
The Linux Lite website is now coded for all devices including - Smartphones & Tablets (Android & iOS) and of course personal computers.
Mobile devices outnumber personal computers 8 to 1, we can't ignore this anymore.
https://mityer.khdlhfjijfrupr.tk/beta/
This means that we will need as many people testing it as possible before we replace the current website with it.
To ensure we have a working, error free website, can you please report on the following issues:
- Spelling errors
- Broken or dead links
- Formatting issues (especially on Smartphones & Tablets)
- Please test on ALL browsers, Opera, FF, Safari, IE (v9+), Firefox, Chrome etc
- Please test on all OS's - Windows, Linux, Mac
Will not render properly on Windows XP with IE8 or below so please don't report this.
Constructive criticism or design ideas are welcome, although I can't promise any suggestions will be implemented if either because of the current code we have or formatting.
The following links will NOT work until we go live, this is to save me extra unnecessary code adjustments:
bugs/
screenshots/
manual/
forums/
as these link to directories on the server already established, so please don't report on these
Issues/Bugs to fix will be listed here:
- Page bookmark links not jumping to the right spot.
So please, get out those mobile devices and of course use your pc's to click like you've never clicked before and report ANY issues in this thread!
Thank you
Jerry

Arial font

I have a spreadsheet program in LibreOffice which is used by others via Dropbox for information purposes - I do all the input. It's in the Arial font (size 10) and appears on my screen as pixelated and unpleasant to look at. However, I'm reluctant to change it because everybody else views it in Windows via Dropbox and they don't have any issues. Even if I do try to change the font to say Droid Sans, LibreOffice suddenly fails to respond and freezes up. It works fine when I use the Arial font.
I can't stand Windoze and I'm trying to get it out of my life. Can anybody suggest an alternative or is it a case of being hamstrung.
Thanks
pauloz

How do I re-import my saved podcasts back into Clementine123 music player?

When I reformatted my hard drive, I saved all my subscribed podcasts, from Clementine123 to an external drive.
On doing a clean install of LL2.4 and downloading Clementine123 afresh,, how can I reimport these saved podcasts to Clementine 123 and continue subscribing?
Any help much appreciated.
Regards
Mike

ctrl+q override?

Hi everyone,
I use a text editor called sciTE (http://www.scintilla.org/SciTE.html) which I find very useful for coding and also writing latex scientific documents.
That editor uses the ctrl+q shortcut combination for commenting out lines.
I am not sure what I did, but I somehow managed to accidentally override this shortcut, and now it won't work anymore. ALL the rest of the shortcuts still work perfectly fine, and my problem was created when I tried to add another language to my linux lite, so I suspect that I did something that cancels/overrides the sciTE usage of ctrl+q.
Any help on resolving this will be much appreciated, it is very hard to work without that important shortcut.
(another, unrelated question: can one upgrade to the newer (2.4) linux lite without a full re-installation?)
All the best,
Edan.

MSN website issue/can't scroll through pics

I "THINK" this is a web problem only as I have the same issue on both my LL 2.4 desktop AND my Win7 laptop so I posted in Other but thought I'd see if anyone else had the same issue and/or if there's a fix.
When I'm on a web page where I have to scroll through different pics, I seem to get the same text for all (the text that goes with the first pic) and, after 5 or 6 pics, I can't scroll through any more pics.
Hard to describe but here are a couple examples.
http://www.msn.com/en-us/foodanddrink/fo...ss-AAaWM6B
As I scroll through the 6 pics of gross jelly bean flavors, each new pic should have text describing that flavor. Even while viewing pic 2, 3, 4, etc, the only text I see is the first one. Starting with pic 5, it won't scroll anymore.
http://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/autos-tru...ss-AAaXnm0
I get the same thing here (and with ANY page that has similar "scrolling"). (Not sure why there's a GMC in the "Mopar Truck Gallery".) At pic #5, I get a black (blank) screen (in the slideshow, NOT the entire screen) and can't seem to scroll past that. In addition, the pic numbers ("1 of 53", etc) never change.
I've emptied my internet cache, deleted cookies, rebooted both Firefox and the computer(s). Not sure what's causing this nor what to do to fix it if there is even a fix. MSN is run by MicroSloth so I doubt they'll do anything if the problem is on their end (which it must be since I'm having the same issue with both this LL desktop and my Win7 laptop). I HAVE reported it to them just in case there's someone breathing at their support site.
