Ohai!  And welcome!

I think you'll love Linux Lite.  Use that Welcome screen a lot at first, and the super-easy-to-understand Help Manual is better than most.  Menu Favorites Help Manual

I "lurked" in these forums a long while before finally joining and learned a lot of useful stuff just looking around, even though I'm not a little scared of technology. I'm sure you'll love it!
