hi i cant get any sound from my hdmi port of my laptop to the tv. please help

Hello!

It could be a sound card driver issue, but without some specifics, it'll be very hard to help you.

Go to Menu > System > Create System Report, and post the portion concerning your sound card. Meanwhile, I'll look up one of my old posts on here - I recall having a similar issue...
