This is a couple of screenshot of the customization I made to LL 2.8.

The following small image is a transparent .png graphic I made that I use as the background for the panel, it will work for panels up to 64 in size. For the menu I set the opacity to 25%.

Very nice customisation avj although I must admit I'm not a fan of desktop icons - spoils any picture IMHO.

Thanks, it is an old Acer aspire one zg5 that I purchased back in 2009. I use an external 20" monitor and external dvd, and external usb hdd. I use it like a desktop, and have installed many different distros on it over the past few years. I have been running Linux Lite on it since version 2.0

To pauloz: I have seen many with the same opinion on desktop icons, but I guess I just like it, if I don't have icons on the desktop I feel like I have a wasted resource.

To be quite honest I have a terrible connection (satellite), so I only watch videos in standard definition, otherwise most of the time I would be waiting for buffering. When I have full bandwidth all videos seem to play fine but I usually don't watch full screen so I really couldn't say.
