You can install the Control Center now using:

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install lite-controlcenter

You might be able to fix your bootup using the Bootup Fix option in Lite Tweaks (Menu->System->Lite Tweaks).

Whenever you get things back to normal, install Systemback (http://www.unixmen.com/systemback-restor...ous-state/) and create a system restore point.
