Didn't do much after that. I connected my HP printer wirelessly. Changed the desktop background.
The the F4 output I posted suggested any reason for the hanging?
edit: just remembered that the calendar on the task bar was all wrong. It's spelt 'novemberi' -neither English nor French. I couldn't fix it, even when I select the correct region.
