I don't see what the big deal of a notifier or updater is. I have the "Install Updates" icon on my bottom panel and check for updates once a day when I shut down for the last time for the day.  I also have an icon for "Lite Tweaks" on the panel. I do everything indicated in the safe category daily and after every update It aint that hard to remember.  ;D

Maybe for newbies, they could be a default icons on the panel when LL is first installed.  :-\
