		I'm on a HP Pavillion notebook with having just replaced Windows Vista. I could use my wireless card no problem but with Linux it is not being detected. I think maybe it's the proprietary driver. 
The card is a AR242x / AR542x Wireless Network Adapter um Qualcomm I think. If anyone knows how i can get it working I would be most grateful.

		I have: Qualcomm Atheros AR242x / AR542x Wireless Network Adapter, and it works out of the box no drivers needed, on Acer aspire one netbook.
If it isn't the wireless switch, it may be the result of a corrupted download.  Did you check the md5 sum on the download page, if not that is where I would look next.
