		Found this http://www.sane-project.org/sane-mfgs.html very useful when looking for a second hand scanner which would work with linux. Ended up with a canon LIDE 210 which works a dream usb cable powered and lightening fast. Regrettably my old A3 scanner did not work under linux. Newer models apparently do.

		Hello! Hmm... I thought I had already replied to this. The Canon LIDE scanners are what I use here.
