Reason you can't mount the NTFS partition is shown in your pic from first post -- "Windows is hibernated, ...."

I'm guessing you're dual-booting with either Win8, 8.1, or 10.  By default, those don't actually do a real shutdown when you shutdown in Windows -- they go into a hibernated state so the system starts up quicker and that "feature" is called "Fast Startup".  When hibernated the Windows partitions will be in a locked state.

Boot into Windows and disable Fast Startup, then reboot computer.  Mounting the Windows partitions should work in LL after doing that.

P.s.  I edited your 2nd post to enclose the system report output in code tags to make it easier to read.  Whenever you need to post output like that (eg. from terminal commands) you should enclose it in code tags.  For future reference, see this post for directions on how to do that.

Try tutorial again, but make sure you reboot (not shutdown) when done.  Just as insurance reboot into Windows first, check the settings again to see if they remain as you changed them in tutorial.  If yes, then reboot into LL and try mounting partition again.  If it still doesn't work, describe exact procedure you used to try mounting the partition.  I'm assuming you are just clicking on its entry shown in file manager under "Devices" section.  Is that what you're doing, or are you trying to mount in some other way?

EDIT:  Just as I was about to post, I see firenice03 posted this:

I'm not 100% sure, but I seem to remember reading just the opposite of this -- that Windows needs to be rebooted instead of shutdown when disabling Fast Startup.  (Just the opposite when enabling Fast Startup -- shutdown instead of reboot.)  I could be wrong about that though.

@ anon,
Try it both ways just to cover all bases.

I rebooted my machine and turned it off I've been trying to mount it from the terminal and through the file manager.

Here is screenshot shown on Win10 tutorial I referenced before:
[Image: 12683d1485949705t-turn-off-fast-startup-...rtup-2.jpg]

When you ran through instructions, did you click on area shown by yellow "Click On" area in that screenshot to "change settings that are currently unavailable"?  Or did you just uncheck the Fast Startup box under "Shutdown Setting"?

If all else fails, disable ability of Windows to hibernate at all using this tutorial.
