Accidentally Deleted folder from secondary drive - HELP!

Not sure if there is any help for this...  

I have a dual-boot system.  Two SSDs  - one Linux Lite, one Linux Mint, and a third HDD for my files.  

Like a dummy, I deleted the folder called PICTURES from my HDD.  And it contains ALL of my pictures.  I do have a backup but it is not totally recent, so with it I can retrieve about 98% of my lost files.

I do not see the missing files on the TRASH folder of Linux Lite.  

Is there any way to recover them?

The Trash folder might be valid if you used the 'Move to Trash' option.
If you used other methods to delete the folder, the Trash folder might not be involved.

If the disk is mounted and used after the accidental deletion, the chance of data recovery is reduced so avoid even mounting the disk.

Assuming the file system on your secondary is some flavour of ext, there are many guides which describe undelete methods - some of them aren't worth reading.

If the data is especially valuable you may want to consider a professional data recovery service.

Yeah the disk is mounted and has been used.

Luckily I did restore the 98% I spoke of (with my backup) and if I have to live with losing the last month's or so worth of pictures, I can live with it. Thank you for your help. I will check the link.

You'll need the software called scalpel, available as Debian or Ubuntu package, and probably a live Linux ISO on a USB and patience. If the files were images most of them will probably be recoverable. Read up on it. It's fairly simple.
