I have a secondary hard drive that all my files live on.  I have read+write access to everything except ONE FOLDER.  I don't get it.  I can't change the permissions either.

Any ideas?

How do the owner/permissions set on ONE FOLDER differ from a directory that works as expected ?
How was ONE FOLDER created compared to a working directory ?

The whole file system was created and on the disk before I installed LINUX LITE on an SSD.  And the werid thing is that all the other folders work.

In this folder I cannot add or delete pics but I can in all the other folders.  This is the only folder that appears with a lock on its' icon.

Can you show us the permissions please ?
Check these with the 'ls -l' command.
Open a terminal by pressing Ctrl, Alt and T together,
Run the command below replacing the text 'path-to-the-directory-above ONE FOLDER' between the two / characters with your path to the parent directory of ONE FOLDER.  Keep the / characters in the command.

If we compare two directories, we can see the write permission ('-' instead of 'w') for 'Good Pics' is not set for the owner.

Earlier you said

I can't change the permissions either.

What methods have you tried and what happened in each case.

I right-clicked the folder, went into PERMISSIONS and tried to change it from READ to READ & WRITE.  It did not work.

Now I just tried the same thing and it did work....  I don't get it, but now I can add and delete photos.

Not sure what changed it but thank you for taking the time to help me.

You're welome - sorry we didn't get to the cause/fix.

Linux file systems have user, user groups, ownership and permission concepts to control file and directory rights.
This can cause problems when using disks in the way you've hinted at.
Non-linux file systems with no compatible concepts of owners and permissions are particularly prone.

But the problem as described is inconsistent so doesn't fit with the common causes and potential fixes.
