I only have one wish for the new Linux Lite 2.2 operating system. Would love to see the Ubuntu Software Center added as a new program. The existing Software Additions program and Synaptic program have limitations. Getting the Ubuntu Software Center would be an early Christmas present.

I us "-s" switch in apt to simulate a software-installer install because I have no need nor wish to run the softtware-installer 
in my Linux Lite install.

Ubuntu Software Center messes thing up in LL, so don't install that.  If you want to, try lubuntu-software-center instead.  See this post for a bit more info:  http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.ph...61#p944661

You can install it with Synaptic or using command line.

Thanks for the advice on going with the Lubuntu Software Cener. I'm stuck with the "blue screen of death", so I can't get to the desktop until I resolve this problem.
