Howdy from a Scooter Tramp with a Linux Computer.
#1

Howdy from the Chihuahua Desert. I ride Harleys and run Linux. I am a distro team member on a couple of distros.
AntiX and MacPup. I just received this  Dell XP2 Touchscreen Tablet/Netbook from Fedex this evening and felt
like letting you folks know what works on here.

This netbook has no hard drive yet, No power adapter, No pen (wacom type), but I could not pass it up for 50 bucks on ebay.

Code:

I am running off of a persistent 8 gig pendrive made with unetbootin. One of those tiny PNY micro pen drives.
Sound, Tap on mousepad, Wireless, Sound, and wait for it , TOUCHSCREEN, all work.

The mouse cursor accepts my finger and acts as left click when I tap the screen like to activate a post button.

I am tickled pink with how well you folks fit this on a cd sized download.

I went with 32 bit because it will be awhile before
I buy a 4 gig ram stick to bump this up to 5 gig of ram. I'll probably spring for a SSD on here also.
Like I said. Just got this netbook tonight. Made the USB. Registered and posted here.

I am GED educated. Own my own Bike Shop. I have some knowledge and can maneuver my way around a linux file
system comfortably. I am a tester on the teams I belong to. I moderate at a couple of forums also.

I am a crude, rude, and tattooed Linux Biker . But the developers I help luv me anyways.

I will help here when time allows. Presently there are other outdoor and distro commitments that take up my time.
But when a distro helps me out. I pay it forward. Nice job on this build folks. Me being a builder myself. I know the work involved.

Anyways, that is is me.

Happy Trails, Rok

PS. The sources list is just huge.  :o

Hello!

Welcome to Linux Lite. It's amazing what you can find on eBay, if you can work with what's there.

Based on what you 'bring to the table', it'll be interesting to see your input, comments, and observations here!
