| Need info on the "Preload Apps" option in Lite Tweaks |

I've attempted to preload SeaMonkey via the "Preload Apps" option in Tweaks 3 or 4 times now. Seems it doesn't want to work exactly right. What I have now is a situation where it only loads maybe every 10th or 12th time, and loads very late. I almost always already have a version open by the time it suddenly appears.
What I need to now is how to undo the preload. Is there a file I can edit to remove it completely?

Hi, all,
Well, I have officially made the switch to Linux Lite from Windows 10 this afternoon.
I had planned to switch anyway, testing the water with the option to fail back to Windows 10 for the time-being should any major problems arise...
...but Microsoft being a major "problem" (or some other word), my Windows 10 laptop has decided it doesn't want to update now. Which is, I suppose, at least a less unpleasant change from wanting to update whenever it does, rather than when I'm ready to.
Having tested LL for the past week, I have this old familiar feeling again - like I'm flying the aeroplane... rather than some faceless corporation is flying "my" aeroplane, making me pay through the nose for the privilege, and not taking me where I want to go either.
Only three or four minor issues found, which I may post on the forum if I cannot find any work-arounds. None of the serious (yay!) Then again, the work-arounds may be helpful for someone anyway if I can find them.
Anyone else fallen in love with LL after years of a, er, troubled marriage with Windows?
Hmmm... is this an affair? No, I'm definitely wanting to leave my "wife". I want a divorce, Microsoft! ;D
Thanks again for all of you making me feel welcome.
Ian

Hi there, guys. I'm new here and this is my first time using Linux (wisely a friend recommended me Linux lite) and I have a problem. (I hope you can understand me because my mother language is Spanish so I'm doing my best to explain myself and my problem) Today I wanted to install updates and I got this message (I really hope somebody can help me) I don't know what to do or how I could fix it :'(

| Clonezilla and zRAM |

With the demise of Systemback, I have been trying out Clonezilla to make system images. zRAM is activated , Clonezilla says it has successfully created an image, but when I ask for the image to be verified, it says it is faulty and can not be used to restore a system. A number of images have been created, all with the same result. As it takes around an hour to create an image, I am reluctant to waste any more time.
My question is, is zRAM causing the problem, anyone using clonezilla with zRAM getting successful images created?
The same Clonezilla boot disk has been used on another system without zRAM and successfully created an image.
Please ignore this - I realised later that the L.Lite system is not running when Clonezilla is booted! Its just making an image of the hard disk. :-[

Hi folks. I have a question. My computer runs on a 64-bit processor (Intel Core 2Duo) but it boots via 32-bit EFi.
Is it possible to install Linux Lite OS 64-bit on this computer? Will it boot on the 32-bit EFI via Refind? If so, will it run fine on 2GB RAM only?
Thanks.

I have been testing neofetch for awhile now and I believe it is now at the point where it could be included in Lite software. I'm using the ppa and the very newest version (3.0 for Ubu 17.xx) and it is clean and fast and quite accurate so far. We do need to get an ASCII feather to the developer, but because it is not coded the convoluted way screenfetch is I think this will be a good application in the future.

Realise GE is not supported officially within the forum.
Fresh install LL3.6 64bit of HP desktop dc7700p.
Ralphy came to my rescue earlier (March 2017) when using LL3.2 64bit on this machine. (See Below quote)
Followed same Terminal procedures , but this time GE map part appears to be miniaturised within the main GE window frame.
Help appreciated.
(03-28-2017, 01:33 AM)ralphy link Wrote: I have installed the 64 bit version just fine. Try this:
Terminal:
Code: sudo apt-get install msttcorefonts
wget -O google-earth.sh http://drive.noobslab.com/data/apps/google-earth/google-earth.sh
chmod +x google-earth.sh
sudo ./google-earth.sh
![[Image: oJhu8X0.png]](http://i.imgur.com/oJhu8X0.png)
After installation I created a Launcher on the desktop as usual. You can always start it from terminal with google-earth
UPDATE: Seems to prefer working within a Chrome Browser window?? There is a link within the GE window LH pane, lower third which says something like "The New Google Earth". Clicking this link fire3s up a splash screen encouraging downloading Google Chrome. Once GC is installed and the GE fire up process repeated, GE seems to fire up in C Google Chrome OK.
Question- does GE now only work if G Chrome is installed?

The default Arc Theme is always a good theme, but a complete new theme which can make the DE look more awesome, is required. I like Square title bar buttons (Minimize/Maximize/Close), as it greatly increases the productivity. Round title bar buttons does not have enough space for a quick click scenario. Whether Square buttons are accurate for that reason.
I am using ARC-WIN8 theme for that purpose. Waiting for a official theme like this.
