so guys today starts copyright week [EFF disscussion] i wanted to post here and listen to my fellow Lite users about that topic. i honestly think it broken and need to be fix . i dont mean with The dread TTP or Sopha that they tried.  My genration (90s) were the poineers of the Net.  i rely on it and i use it a lot. i  beleieve we need something like an online UN or an stable organiztion to pick the rules correctly. i for one will not allow an thing Like TTP or sopha to be around

Video on YouTube plays correctly, fonts are blurry on the forum and desktop, display settings are at 1024x768, the other options are lower.
I want to use 1440x900 as it is correct one for this monitor.

I have tried selecting the proprietary driver, this does not alter the view, and the display resolution choices remain at 1024x768 maximum.

Is there a driver available that is not listed that would resolve this ?

In the future, please do NOT make more flat and metro theme & appearance similar to Zorin OS 12!

I followed https://mityer.khdlhfjijfrupr.tk/manual/network.html , but sadly unsuccessful. 

One error message I received after the terminal command ... sudo leafpad /etc/samba/smbusers :

(leafpad:3782): IBUS-WARNING **: The owner of /home/kefir81/.config/ibus/bus is not root!

However, when I do the smb:// <ipaddress> I do see the folder that I've shared on Windows 10.  But using both the credentials for the user on Linux as well as Windows (group network) I get an failed message (attempt to attach).  By the way, how do include screenshots without going through a third party/coding?




 


I've even tried the NistroShare (which the Windows 10 recognizes the device name here on Linux, but Linux doesn't see Windows 10).

On Windows 10, Linux does appear on the Network, but not as the same name as the device.

Hello guys, after more then 20 years on Microsoft, I suddenly got so tired of it so yesterday I just desided to install Linux Lite.
Hehe I got so much top learn, I don't even have a clue on how my hard drives work  ;D

Here's an odd but probably simple one ?
I installed to my hard drive via usb stick on a Toshiba satellite while attached to a network cable. All went lovely, as usual. I disconnected and went out to my shop where I have a router and a chip thingie from moviestar which I use with my Lenovo pad and previously with this laptop with antiX running on it. Anothr router is an extensioin from the on in the house.By cable all is fine. Then I took a USB wifi antennae and plugged it in. There were the 2 wifi and I was able to connect to either one as long as the antennae is plugged in the USB, Once unplugged the wifi networks don't show in the options. Only the ethernet.
Where do I look ?

In Oracle Virtualbox I installed LinuxLite 3.2 and after the installation had sudo apt-get update and sudo apt-get upgrade. After that, the sudo command has mismatched and I can not install either under GUI or in commandline further application. What can I do?
