| How do I make desktop icons smaller |

I'm running LL 2.4 on an old Dell Dimension 4550 with a Radeon 9550 video card. Seems my only resolution will have to be 1024x768 which makes the desktop icons rather large. Is there a way to shrink them down?

Ok I know....I Know. K3b pulls in dependencies from all over the place.
But I still like to use it for burning and ripping.
Had no problem with 2.2 but 2.4 keeps throwing up errors with sudo apt-get install K3b as below:
ben@ben-Calistoga-ICH7M-Chipset:~$ sudo apt-get install K3b
[sudo] password for ben:

I'm using LL 2.4. For some reason the little clock in the lower right corner keeps jumping forward in time. I set the correct time which displays for a short while then jumps. Anyone know a solution for this?

So I recently made the decision to expand my horizons and find a Linux distro that would be an alternative to the horror that is Windows 8/10.
Through out my life I've primarily been a Windows user, currently using Windows 7. However I'm not a 100% newbie, as I've used Unix/Linux before, and my job in is software development (though when it comes to Linux, at this point I'm more "aware" and "informed", than I am "experienced").
Long story short though, after previewing several live discs I narrowed it down to Linux Lite 2.4 and promptly installed it, I've been using it for about a week now, and so far I've been very happy with it. Everything is laid out well and intuitive, and even installing custom software/hardware has been a breeze.
I'm currently using this setup as a retro game development workstation, using SDL, CodeLite, Plastic SCM, Aseprite, SunVox, and sfxr, and things couldn't be smoother.

Hi to all LL Community!
Sorry for my bad English...
Maybe the Linux Lite project will consider opportunity of pre-installed LL 2.6 (and later...) and sales Linux-compatible hardware, such as nettops Intel NUC? It could add funds for development of the project. Site thinkpenguin.com sells Linux hardware, for example with pre-installed Linux Mint. I am use Intel NUC DN2820(2830)FYKH0 (2014 year), all works fine out the box in LL 2.4-2.6 Beta (some notes with Intel BIOS), now are available Intel NUC5CPYH (with 2-Cores Celeron) & NUC5PPYH (with 4-Cores Pentium).

| How to set up a Scanner in LL2.4. |

Following my move to Linux, in the wake of XP's death, I had great difficulty in finding instructions on how to set up an Epson Perfection V500 Photo Scanner with Linux. In the end I did find instructions at the following link:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2195126

I followed the instructions, in the above link, to the letter: the scanner now works very well in Linux Lite, though without all the additional benefits (e.g. scanning slides or colour film negatives, editing to remove blemishes from old photos, etc) that came with the scanner's Windows OS software.
The above link may also work for other Epson scanners and maybe it's worth a try if you are having problems with scanner compatibility in either LL or other Ubuntu-based distros.
I used Image Scan! for Linux (also known as iscan) to operate the scanner, which appears to come by default with the LL2.4 iso file package - just type iscan in the search box that appears as soon as you click on LL's Menu icon and you should see Image Scan! for Linux appear in the menu's list of applications.
If you have luck with the above link (i.e. with installing a scanner other than an Epson Perfection V500 with iscan software) it would be helpful to other readers if you mention the make & model and post them on this thread as a reference...

Many thanks
Mike
