Prefix mod - You can now select the prefix '[SOLVED]' to update your Support thread title. This is only enabled in the Support threads. If you can think of any other useful prefixes, let me know in this thread. This will also help Mods to quickly and easily mark threads as Solved when performing Forum maintenance.

Personal Message (PM) Warning - posts a simple warning above PM's to remind people the PM system is not to be used for Support unless by prior arrangement by the two parties.

| Are you sure you want to proceed after login? |

This has been going on for a while and it's getting annoying. After I log in on the login page, the next screen shows a box with "Are you sure you want to proceed". The only option is OK. After that, the computer will boot up and run fine. The only thing I can find that I can't do is create a systems report. It goes straight to the terminal. How do I stop this box from coming up? How do I get a systems report?

Just want to share my solutions for SiS 671/771 issue with linux lite 2.4
Three steps to do. - create text file name 'xorg.conf' as code below.
- Copy file 'xorg.conf' to folder /etc/X11/ need password to do this.
- Unchecked Custom DPI Setting in font tab in appearance menu.
Code: Section "Device"
Identifier "device1"
BoardName "VESA driver (generic)"
Driver "vesa"
Option "DPMS"
EndSection
I tried to solved this about 3 hours by test several solutions and this solution can solved my issue.

Is there a way to change how the password dots are displayed?
Double them, triple them or not show at all?

| [SOLVED] Internal drives show on desktop as removable |

I've now got my two internal drives (three partitions) automatically mounted and accessible without supplying credentials each time, thanks to the advice in a nearby thread. One detail persists, that the drives are shown on the desktop as Removable devices. That desktop feature is great for devices that are actually removable, such as USB sticks and cameras, but it's undesirable for persistent drives, as they are already in Thunar's tree pane. The drives are NTFS, if that makes a difference. Is there any way to get them recognized as internal devices and off the desktop? I did do a search on this but didn't find anything clear.
Thanks,
Paul

Hi,
I have some hardware related problem, I would appreciate if you could somehow help.
I am using LINUX LITE 2.4 on HP laptop. My problem is that whenever the screen is locked and some time passes (say 20 minutes), the screen light turns off, after this if I try to awake the machine the display starts running here and there, and the corners of the display start appearing at the center, and if I click or do some other activity it runs again, but some how I manage to login and then only when the running applications are closed I am able to see the desktop or the problem goes away. The OS is by default using Intel 5500 graphics card. Please tell what is the problem and what should I do. Thank you!
