Hey guys,
first of all I love Linux Lite! Thank you so much for this awesome OS! Before, I used Lubuntu on my crappy Netbook, but Linux Lite just feels so much faster!
Nevertheless I still have an annoying issue. I can't get Youtube to play Videos in an acceptable quality. 480p non-fullscreen is okay, but if I go higher or fullscreen it gets really laggy. I am using Chromium. I also tried firefox (was even worse) and seamonkey (between ff and chromium).
It seems that video performance isn't the problem in generall, because VLC plays vids in 1080p without any issue. Also on Win10 (reason I switched to Linux xD) there is no such yt problem.
My specs sadly are not really good =( but not that bad either
Acer Aspire One 722
AMD APU C-60 2x 1 GHz -> boost 1,33 GHz / Radeon HD 6290
4 GB RAM
256 GB SSD Crucial M4
I am using Linuix Lite 3.2 64bit, everything up to date. I am still new to Linux, so if you need further infos feel free to ask.
I've read the sticky about Youtube issues already, but correct me if i'm wrong, I thought that by now Youtube uses HTML5 only so Flash can't be the problem (especially with chromium)?
Hope you have some ideas! Thanks in advance!
Best regards,
ark23

Hello all Linux lovers
Ralphy here, saying hi to the community. Let's see... a little bit of mia culpa... for whatever reasons I had never tried Linux Lite until recently, and I have to admit that I'm not that new to Linux. Not sure what kept me away but I never felt attracted so to speak.
I gotta tell you friends, what a beautiful and snappy OS Linux Lite is. Its simplicity and fundamentals is astonishing to me, taking into account that I had never considered it before. In my humble opinion, Linux Lite shines to a brilliant perfection. It is a lightweight and lighting fast operating system that doesn't get in the middle, gets the job done and packages outstanding friendliness for anyone, specially for new users; while featuring a “full-blown-features-rich” desktop at the same time. Great job, seriously!
As a way to say thank you for Linux Lite and show appreciation in a more tangible way, I've decided to host a repository mirror to give back to the community. The mirror hosts packages from 6 different servers geographically distributed, in an Anycast network, with IP failover and load balancing. These servers should give most users good response time irrespective their geographic location.

I truly hope they serve the community well.
Cheers!

The totals from the downloads page (https://mityer.khdlhfjijfrupr.tk/download.html) look incorrect. I've been watching, and the last 3 digits of both the Web Downloads and Torrent Downloads figures seem to increase, but nothing above them does. For example, the Total Torrent Download number has been at 170,xxx no matter what. As of this writing, it is at 170,012. Based on what I saw earlier today, it should be at 171,xxx. The same goes for the Total Web Downloads number. It is always at 1,219,xxx. Currently it is at 1,219,187. Based on where I saw it earlier today, it should be at 1,220,xxx.
Now that I think of it, since these figures were added to the website, the most significant characters for the Web Downloads number have always been 1,219,xxx, and the most significant characters for the Torrent Downloads number have always been 170,xxx. Something is very wrong with the tally.

This might be a silly question, but I wonder if there is something similar to krunner that is available for xfce desktop? So what I need is a universal search tool that will find any file or program installed on my machine and for programs it will give me an option to launch it directly?
Thanks
